R.L. Baker Construction designed and built us a beautiful home on a lake after tearing down our small cottage. Although our lot is long and narrow, the house takes full advantage of the space we have while not overwhelming our neighbors homes. A beautiful entrance on the street side and multiple beautiful lakeside living spaces, including screen porch, deck and patio in front of walk out basement. Only top quality materials used and the highest quality workmanship. Randy Baker has great insight on design and the latest construction techniques.
Mr. Randy Baker and his team built my house in the 2003/2004 time period. I was so pleased that I hired Randy and his team come back to put an addition on my house in 2016/2017. They are perfectionists, have great ideas and suggestions and provide top quality customer service from the very start of the project to the end. Just a note to say “best wishes” for the holidays and new year—and to thank you for our wonderful new house. We are so happy with it and am amazed on how well built it is—we don’t even notice winter blowing snow and cold around—we are so snug! I want to thank you for all your hard work—from everyone in the office to all the subcontractors—you’re the best! I have thought about writing you several times this last couple of months and have never quite gotten around to it so I’m taking the time this evening! I want to let you know how much we really love the kitchen and appreciate your skill and dedication to what you do. We have always loved our house but the change we made this spring just makes it that much more comfortable and “user friendly” and we are so very happy with it!
Gene remarked after we first moved in 11 years ago (unbelievable that he really likes his chosen profession, but that compared to what you do it felt pretty impermanent and insignificant. He said that you build not just houses, but homes, which stand for decades (barring bad brick anyway!) and give families shelter and a place to always come back to, and that seemed to him so much more important and permanent.
We do so appreciate also the fact that you are always willing to help out . . . either when one of us gets a “brainstorm” (I’m the one responsible for the kitchen!) or when there is a problem like a failed window seal, bricks self-destructing, or whatever.
I just want to be sure you know that you are appreciated, both for your accessibility and enthusiasm when it comes to what you do, and for your diligence, competence and desire to have your finished products be the best they can possibly be.

Your hard work and attention to detail cannot be matched and certainly show in the final results. Even though we had many changes along the way, we still kept our grand opening on schedule. This still amazes me and it would not have been possible without the relentless efforts of the whole team!
